Earlier today, I linked (linked) a photo in an article in the current issue of Chicago Reader into a post on this blog. Their article quoted me, and my post (since removed) quoted them quoting me. My post also complimented the Reader article, and I urged people to get the current edition. The linked photo, if clicked on, led directly to the article being opened in a new window. In other words, the photo was fully attributed and led readers to the Reader's website. You'd think the Reader would appreciate the kind words, the free plug and increased website traffic. Instead, I got a terse letter from editor Allison True demanding that I remove the photo. I did remove it, but two can play the Reader's petty game:

Well, it seems that the "editor" at the Chicago News Bench and we here at the stench use the term editor with a grain of salt, cannot take the reality of of a truthful and well though out letter from our local police commander.

If the person on the phone did not hang on the line to file a report, it then would become the problem of the vandalized buildings owner to call the police and file the proper reports.

But The Bench shcmuck doesn't think like that. he's to blinded for his hatred of local law enforcement and politicians to even give a truthful report on the matter, and then he wonders why he gets ignored and skipped over by them when he attempts to ask a question of them.
